Based a stones throw away from Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, Junior’s eponymous salon might come with Knightsbridge prices, but you’ll receive the type of service and level of expertise that you would expect from its exclusive SW1 postcode.
My appointment with one of the senior stylists couldn’t have come at a better time. A relationship break-up had left the contents and top of my head literally frazzled, which manifested itself with severe breakage around my crown and two small, bare spots around by temples. Overwork and general apathy meant that I had failed to notice the signs of what my stylist suspected was Traction Alopecia- a condition linked with excessive use of chemicals and tight hair extensions and styles such as ponytails. I was guilty of all three.
As I slumped into the chair of the bright, shiny, minimalist salon, my stylist skilfully rectified the results of a recent hack job and worked out an S.O.S course of action for my remaining tresses, while imparting knowledge rather than the type of judgement that makes me dread visiting a salon for the first time.
I left the salon with the number of a Trichologist; strands that had been resuscitated with an intensive hair treatment and a haircut that gave me the confidence boost I needed to help me get my shit together life back on track.
Who said money can’t buy you happiness?
